Rules & Regulations
  1. All persons attending this Championship, whether as spectators, competitors, officials or guests of the Organiser, shall be bound by the rules of the event and by participating, is deemed to have understood and accepted the rules and regulations.

  2. The Organiser will not be held liable for any injuries sustained, damage, or loss suffered by competitors, participants and audiences attending this event.  Everyone participating does so at his or her own risk.

  3. The Organiser will not entertain any claims of any nature whatsoever regarding financial or material benefits through publicity and/or broadcasting of the Championship or otherwise. All items pertaining to this Championship shall remain the sole rights of the Organiser.

  4. All Participants are deemed to have consented the Organiser for the usage of any photographs and/or videos taken during the competition for publication within our social media, website etc.

  5. The Organiser reserves the right to change the order of events without prior notice.

  6. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entries or admittance into the ballroom.

  7. The Organiser reserves the right to change/cancel the competition and/or any event without prior notice.

  8. The decisions of the adjudicators are final and no correspondence will be entertained.

  9. Online registration of events must be accompanied by payment within 1 week else it will be rendered void.

  10. All additional bank charges incurred during payment of entry fees must be borne by the competitor. 

  11. Additional 5% admin surcharge will be applicable should payment be via credit card facilities such as stripe.

  12. Rules for all Competitors

    • No change of dance partner is allowed in the same event.

    • There will be a S$10 deposit for the collection of each the number tag, after which, this will be refunded upon the return of the number tags in good order at the end of the day.  No other refund will be entertained beyond 13th April 2024.

    • All competitors must be present 5 events before their scheduled event. Any competitor who fails to appear at the scheduled time will be disqualified.

  13. Rules on Beginners Events

    • Competitors in the Beginners named events must dance in accordance to the syllabus up to Gold level of UKA, ISTD and/or NATD.

    • Solo Beginners competitors shall not qualify for the Solo Open events and vice versa.

    • Solo Beginners competitors must be dressed in accordance to the competition dress code else they will be disqualified. Please refer to the segment on dress code.

    • There are no costumes restrictions for Beginners Partner Events except for Beginners Standard events where Tailcoats are not allowed.

  14. Rules on Professional and Amateur Open Events

    • Competitors in the Professional and Amateur Open events cannot participate in any other non Professional/Amateur events with the exception of the Pro-Am and Teacher-Student events, provided it is with a different partner.

    • 2 nights’ accommodation will be provided on the 12th and 13th of April for the first 2 Professional and Amateur (Open Only) couples from each country on first-come-first-served basis. Late Entry if accepted, will not be provided with accommodation. 

    • Overseas Amateur Open competitors may compete in the Amateur Rising Star event, but rooms will not be provided.

    • Asia Pacific and South East Asia specific competitions are only open to the countries within that region.

    • Professional and Amateur couples are to provide one colour-action photograph.

  15. Age limited events are based on calendar year of birth.
