As a coach, Sharon lives and loves by the principle of building a strong technical foundation for her students. Her belief has met spirited approval from her students and parents alike. In 2016, she was recognised with Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Inaugural Coach of the Year and Student Excellence Award.


Her passion presents itself in coaching students to build poise in both their performances and competitions. This immense composure of hers and Sharon's keen observations allow students to evaluate their technique and repertoire with acute precision. This makes her a hot favourite with students desiring to advance their abilities in DanceSport.

Trained in Hip Hop, Jazz and majoring in DanceSport from an early age, Melvin has become an award-winning coach and choreographer. His acute sense and judgement of tone, rhythm and movement have shone in the numerous performances he has orchestrated in collaboration with his students.   


Awarded Ngee Ann Polytechnic Inaugural Coach of the Year in 2016, he has choreographed award-winning performances for the contestants of The Cathay DanceSport Competition. The piece entitled SG50 was performed many times to the demand of others. Keeping up his reputation of being Singapore's 13-time National and Asian DanceSport Champion, Melvin continues to pass on the torch in both skill and passion to young dancers.

Hristina started her career in Bulgaria more than 20 years ago. Since then, she has not only represented her home country but Italy as well in national and international competitions.

As a top finalist in 2009's European Professional South-American Showdance, Hristina is heavily sought after for transformational dancing. Her experience and expertise shows in her technique and styling classes.


After turning professional, she has risen to the challenge of Blackpool Dance Festival; World Latin and European Latin Championships; World; European South American Showdance Championships.

 Connie aspires to coach students of all levels of dancing to attain their desired standards. Possessing both talent and a keen passion for DanceSport, she quickly developed as a competitive dancer 9 years ago. 

She's proven to be a solid all-rounder in coaching DanceSport who particularly enjoys interactive with all who come her way. 


 Connie teamed up with Roger Kwa in 2003 and was representatives for Singapore in all-major International Competitions. In 2005, she was also selected as Singapore's DanceSport Representatives to the Asian Indoor Games (AIG) 2005 (Bangkok), and the South East Asian (SEA) Games 2005 (Cebu).

With 10 years of experience under her belt, Fion has represented her school in levels up to Amateur and has achieved many medals for national DanceSport Championships.


She has since started to instruct for Singapore Polytechnic's Sports for Life Programme, teach and assist for Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Sports and Wellness classes, Paya Lebar Methodist Girls School (Primary), and finally, in tda's very own studio.

Fion is also a certified Zumba Instructor. Since 2012, she has conducted classes for people of different age groups. Using Zumba as a platform for a healthier lifestyle, she brings fitness and dance together for schools, institutions and corporate functions.

Elisabeth found her passion for dancing and serving through 9 years with TDA. She has competed nationally and performed for numerous recitals including dan:s festival at Singapore's iconic performing arts centre, the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay. 


Her 5-year experience with different types of students from primary to tertiary has honed her natural affinity with the youth, making her an excellent empathiser and motivator of people.  

Elisabeth currently teaches for the Sports and Wellness elective at Polytechnics and trains the competing tertiary students. Her highly creative approach pays off when students remark on how unforgettable she can be.

Starting Dance at the age of 5, Ixora discovered her precocious talent to execute movement in such precise and inventive ways.


Whether its Contemporary, DanceSport or even Line Dance, her talent continues to be recognised nationally. From earning first place at 13 for dancing in a Crime Prevention Competition or clinching the title of Rising Star Champions in the 4th Singapore DanceSport Organisation Championships. Her accolades grow with every push into the limelight.

With her flair for the dramatic, Ixora commands an audience when she choreographs and performs. Her work, 'Paranoia' combined contemporary together with ballroom styles to present an unforgettable culmination of the sight and sound.

Clarabelle is an all-rounder who takes pride in her poise, posture and stage presence no matter where she's dancing. Having experience from hip-hop, cheerleading to Latin ballroom, she's able to incorporate all of her training into the perfect dance fitness class.


Her sweet demeanor allows children to fall head over heels with her as an instructor. We witnessed that during our last performance practices where the kids never stopped to cheer their teacher Clarabelle on.


From Zumba enthusiasts to little kids, they can always count on Clarabelle to not just be the energetic, joyful motivator but also the caring instructor they need.

Darren Boon has been dancing since 2005 and is trained in DanceSport. He began his Latin Ballroom as a freshman in Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2005 and has since won several DanceSport Championships since he stepped into this arena.


Darren has has also participated in several performances such as the Singapore Youth Festival Dance Performances. He has assisted to coach in several DanceSport classes and has good rapport with the students.

Archana is a true anchor in our studio. She takes joy in handling our back-end business operations as well as on-the-ground teachings.


Formally trained in Latin Ballroom, she's a dancer who's dabbled in many other genres such as contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, folk and traditional classical dances.


Having won Best Choreographer twice in a row, Archana is known for her talent for moving an audience through storytelling with dance.

Her classes are light-hearted, candid and reflective. To her,  dance is not just about the body but also focus, mindfulness and intention.

You will see her organizational skills come to life teaching in school workshops, group classes, private lessons as well as, First Dance programs for soon-to-be-weds. 


Chang Long

Meet Chang Long, one of TDA's budding instructor with a passion for competitions, first dance lessons, and group lessons. His love for dance start at 9 and propelled him into learn all 5 different styles in Latin DanceSport by the age of 14. 


Having spent 3 years teaching, students have said that Chang Long is very friendly, but he also ensures that the students are properly following the right dance technique. To him, having a strong foundation is the most important in DanceSport.

Chang Long seamlessly switches between English and Mandarin ensuring that every students feels comfortable and understood.

He is capable of taking charge of things with an executive mentality. Coaching beginners with the right technique and mentality is his forte.

Gwen's love for the arts shone ever since she was put into dance class from the age of 4. As a young girl who followed her path of dance from Jazz, to Modern, Tap and finally, Latin at 12.


Encouraging, technical and specific, she knows what it takes to draw out a child's confidence and imagination. Her students go on to enjoy pushing themselves to be the best at practice and performances.

She's certified through the ISTD Latin Examinations and Medal Tests. At TDA, she specializes in teaching Latin American dances to children, youth and adults.

Previously, she's also worked as a choreographer and stage producer for a few musical productions, namely Beauty and the Beast and Oliver. This niche experience comes in handy, to ensure the children at TDA are well-placed and ready to showcase their talents to the audience.

Nina is a certified teacher in Latin American Dances and also has Professional Education and is a certified stage dancer in Ballet and Modern Dance. 

With Sven Ninnemann, she is a Champion in various European and Asian competitions. Among some of her achievements includes being a 1st Runner Up at the World Championships, Semi-finalist at Blackpool Dance Festival and at UK Open (Rising Star) and a Finalist at the World Super Series Germany. In Show dance, she is a Dutch Open Latin American Champion. 

Her media exposure includes dancing on Dancing with the Stars Germany, coaching on Stepping Out Germany and choreographing for You Can Dance Germany.

Sven is a certified teacher in Latin American and Ballroom Dances and has studied Sport Science. He has competed in competitions around the globe and emerged Champion in European and Asian competitions.     His combinations of talent and technique has propelled him to international recognition with accolades such as being 1st Runner Up at the World Championships, Semi-finalist at Blackpool Dance Festival and at UK Open (Rising Star), and a Finalist at the World Super Series Germany. In Show dance, he is a Dutch Open Latin American Champion. 

His media exposure includes participating in BBC’s Eurovision Dance Contest.
